Berhampur: The journalists of berhampur on Wednesday organized a blood donation camp at Berhampur Press club premises to collect blood for victims of the Balasore train tragedy who are undergoing treatment at different government and private hospitals in the state now. The function were inaugurated by Southern IG Satyabrata Bhoi, MKCG Medical superintendent Dr. Suchitra Dash attended as chief guest while Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai, Ganjam BJD President Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik attended as guest of honour.
About 61 units of Blood were collected in the camp. Many youths, women activists, and volunteers donated blood on the occasion. Among others DIPRO Rabi Narayan Behera, R.MURALI MOHAN a renowned Social worker and President of the Berhampur Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd. Corporator Sukuta Maharana, Pradeep Satapathi, Durga Kumar Layak, Librarian, BeMC Manoj Kumar Panigrahi were present and witnessed the programme.
